Business leader Bob Field has been appointed an Independent Board Member of the New Zealand Rugby Union.

The current Chairman of Toyota New Zealand, Field has worked with the automotive company since 1979, previously serving as Finance Manager and then 25 years as CEO.

He will retire from the company later this year.

Field is currently the Chairman of CMD Nominees Ltd and the New Zealand Business Council for Sustainable Development, a director of KiwiRail, adviser to Team New Zealand and a member of the New Zealand Business Roundtable.
