Rapira, Inglis injuries mar Anzac Test

The Kiwis' 20-10 Anzac test loss to the Kangaroos was compounded by an injury to prop Sam Rapira while some of the gloss from the Australians' continuing success in the fixture was robbed by an injury to Greg Inglis.

Rapira went off after the first tackle with a dislocated left thumb as the New Zealanders' Anzac hoodoo on Australian soil continued, while Darren Lockyer's triumphant Queensland farewell in the green and gold at Gold Coast's Skilled Park also saw the recurrence of a hip injury Inglis had repaired in the off-season.

It's bad news in particular for the players' NRL sides with the Warriors having to back up on Sunday at the same venue against the Titans without their star prop, while Inglis's South Sydney Rabbitohs already faces a high injury toll.

Rapira's out for up to six weeks but luckily has no fracture.
