Warriors take Vatuvei to Australia

The Warriors winger Manu Vatuvei has gone to Australia with five other players for their back-to-back NRL matches on the road against Gold Coast and Newcastle.

They face the Titans at Skilled Park on Sunday and will stay in Australia before playing the Knights in Newcastle on Sunday week.

Earlier this week coach Ivan Cleary named the same side for the Gold Coast match used in last Sunday's home win over Penrith.

It includes captain Simon Mannering, Lance Hohaia, Sam Rapira, Ben Matulino and Lewis Brown, who are all in the Kiwis squad.

Vatuvei was confirmed in the travelling squad late Friday as he continues his recovery from a knee injury which has sidelined him since the start of the season.

The other players who've travelled are centre Joel Moon, winger Bill Tupou, halfback Shaun Johnson, second rower Sione Lousi and prop Jeremy Latimore.
