Seve Ballesteros, one of golf's greatest and most charismatic players, has died after a a long battle with cancer.
He was 54.
The Spaniard, who won five major titles, died surrounded by his family after four operations on a brain tumour diagnosed in late 2008, after he collapsed at Madrid airport.
A winner of three British Opens and two Masters titles, Ballesteros also helped revive Europe's fortunes in the Ryder Cup, captaining the team which won at Valderrama in Spain in 1997.
