The Northern Mystics have made more sporting history beating the NSW Swifts 49-44 in the minor semi-final of the trans-tasman netball competition in Sydney to move within one game of reaching the grand final.
The Mystics, making their first appearance in the playoffs, will now face the loser of tomorrow night's major semi-final between the Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic and the Queensland Firebirds for a place in the final.
Star shooter Catherine Latu was a force for the Mystics in the offensive circle and she says the match was one of the most physical she's ever played in.
