One of America's greatest basketball coaches Phil Jackson has been sent into retirement with an embarrassing loss.
The 2-time NBA defending champion Los Angeles Lakers were swept by the Dallas Mavericks in their Western Conference semi-final.
65-year-old Jackson is the most successful coach in League history with 11 NBA titles, 5 of those coming with the Lakers.
He'd seriously considered quitting a year ago, but the challenge of leading Kobe Bryant and company had been too great to resist....
So the Mavericks will meet either Oklahoma or Memphis in the West, while in the East, Miami lead Boston 2-1 and Atlanta and Chicago are tied at 2-all.
