McCaw and Carter back for Crusaders

Richie McCaw and Dan Carter have been named in the Crusdaders starting 15 to take on the Cheetahs in their Super Rugby clash in Bloemfontein on Sunday morning.

McCaw missed last week's victory over the Stormers in Cape Town after a head knock against the Force and returns to openside flanker.

Carter hasn't played since injuring his hamstring in the match against the Sharks at Twickenham at the end of March.

Also back from injury is prop Ben Franks... however other injuries mean Willi Heinz starts at halfback, Tom Marshall at fullback,

Ryan Crotty at centre outside Sonny Bill Williams, with Robbie Fruean moving to the right wing.

Fullback Brent Ward, who was called into the squad this week, is on the reserves bench, as is halfback Steve Alfeld, a Crusaders wider training group member.

Coach Todd Blackadder says they've managed all the players carefully this week due to the tough nature of last week's match, but they expect everyone to be ready for the Cheetahs clash.

Not considered due to injury were Israel Dagg, Sean Maitland, Kahn Fotuali'I, Adam Whitelock, Andy Ellis, Brad Thorn and Sam Whitelock.
