The Breakers star Kevin Braswell scored 19 points on debut to help Southland beat Taranaki 91-80 in their National Basketball League clash in New Plymouth.
Import Sylvester Spicer top scored for the Sharks with 21 points.
It was Taranaki's third striaght loss.
