The Taranaki boxer Sam Rapira is through to the final of the light-heavyweight division at the Arafura Games in Darwin after an upset win over the Olympic bronze medallist Vijender Singh of India.
Singh won India's first ever boxing medal in Beijing and had been expected to make the final.
Rapira will fight Australian Damien Hooper in the final tonight.
