Crusaders wary of carefree Cheetahs

The Crusaders can join the Blues at the top of super rugby's New Zealand conference if they can score a bonus point win in South Africa tomorrow morning.

But after upsetting the Stormers last weekend they're having to take on the Cheetahs in Bloemfontein without four first choice players injured in Cape Town, although All Blacks Richie McCaw and Dan Carter are back.

And while the Cheetahs have won only three games the Crusaders' assistant coach, Darryl Gibson, says they're playing as if they've decided to really enjoy the rest of their season and that makes them dangerous.

He says they can play an open expansive game and combine it with the sheer physical brute force seen from the likes of the the Stormer and Bulls.

The Crusaders are on 44 points, five behind the Blues who slipped to second, a point behind the Reds after losing to the Queenslanders in Brisbane.
