Tasman's Shane Christie will make his New Zealand Sevens debut after being called into the squad to replace Waikato's Declan O'Donnell for the final two HSBC Sevens World Series tournaments in London and Edinburgh.
O'Donnell has been ruled out of the squad due to a hamstring injury.
New Zealand has won eight previous Sevens World Series titles, the last in 2008, and after six tournaments lead with 134 points.
