Mystics coach says defence as key to grand final chances

The Northern Mystics fairytale run in the trans-tasman netball competition has continued with the Auckland based side booking their place in the grand final after edging the Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic by just one point in a thrilling sudden death playoff in Hamilton last night.

The 43-42 victory in the preliminary final keeps the Mystics dream of winning their maiden title well and truly alive, but they face an unenviable task in trying to knock over the unbeaten Queensland Firebirds on their home court in Brisbane next Sunday.

However the Mystics have momentum on their side after upsetting the higher ranked NSW Swifts and the Magic on their way to grand final, and coach Debbie Fuller is confident her side can find a chink in the Firebirds seemingly impenetrable armour.
