The reigning Australian and US Open tennis champion Kim Clijsters has confirmed her entry for the French Open starting at the end of this week.

The Belgian former world number one has been out of action for six weeks since suffering wrist and shoulder pain, and last month she also suffered a serious ankle injury.

Clijsters, the second seed for the French Open, returned to training only at the start of this month, and she's heading to Paris tomorrow to complete her preparations.
