The All Black centre Conrad Smith is excited about his return to rugby next week after missing 5 Super Rugby matches with a broken nose.
Smith suffered what turned out to be a major injury when he clashed heads during their match against the ACT Brumbies in Canberra.
He's been able to keep his fitness up in recent weeks and is happy the doctor gave him the all clear to return after just 6 weeks instead of the initial 8 week break he was given.
Smith says the operations was quite complex.... and more painful than the incident.
Tthe Hurricanes have the bye this week and play the Western Force next week.
