All Whites squad hit by injury for Australia, Mexico games

Key members of the All Whites side will miss next month's football internationals against Mexico and Australia through injury.

Among them is skipper Ryan Nelsen who injured his knee while playing for English premier league side Blackburn last month.

Also missing from the 23-strong squad because of injury are Rory Fallon, Leo Bertos and Jeremy Christie.

But back after missing the side's last game, a one all draw against China in March, are Tim Brown, Ben Sigmund, Winston Reid, Mark Paston and Simon Elliott.

Also included are goalkeeper Jake Gleeson and striker Craig Henderson who have yet to make their All Whites debuts.

The All Whites play Mexico in Denver on June 1st and Australia in Adelaide on June 5th.

The 13 Australasian-based players will assemble in Auckland next Tuesday for a five day training camp which will include a game against Waitakere United.
