McEnroe heaps praise on Djokovic

Tennis legend John McEnroe has heaped praise on Novak Djokovic, rating the Serb's stunning 37-match unbeaten run this year as more impressive than his own record-breaking run of 42 wins in 1984.

The 52-year-old American says he's amazed by Djokovic's heroics in the last few months, and given greater competition and athleticism in the modern game, he rates the world number two's streak the more impressive, and a great shot in the arm for the sport.

McEnroe's even hoping Djokovic will break his record of 42 wins at the French Open starting on Sunday night. For that to happen Djokovic would need to reach the final at Roland Garros for the first time in his career.
