Erakovic into French Open

The New Zealand tennis player Marina Erakovic has qualified for the French Open main draw after scoring an impressive 6-4 6-2 win over second seed Petra Cetkovska in the final round of qualifying at Roland Garros.

Erakovic was on court for just over an hour and despite hitting just 12 clean winners to Cetkovska's 17 but it was the Czech's numerous 18 unforced errors to the New Zealander's nine that cost her the match.

Erakovic will now face the Netherlands' Arantxa Rus in the first round in Paris.

If Erakovic can beat Rus, she will likely face former world number one Kim Clijsters in the second round.
