New Zealand's top ranked golfer Danny Lee has finished third in the latest Nationwide tour in the United States.

The Nationwide tour is the second tier tour and Lee began the final round tied for 17th, but finished a six under par 65 at the BMW Charity Pro-Am in North Carolina to move into third.

A bogey on the 16th cost him any chance of winning the tournament.

It's Lee's fourth top ten finish this year.

He is now tenth on the Nationwide Tour money list with the top 25 at the end of the year, earning full PGA Tour cards.
