The Cheetahs wing Ryno Benjamin has been given a two-week Super Rugby ban for head-butting Melbourne Rebels centre and captain Stirling Mortlock in their weekend match.
Benjamin received a red card in the closing minutes of the southern hemisphere championship match at Free State Stadium in Bloemfontein and Mortlock got a yellow card for retaliating.
The suspension rules Benjamin out of South African derbies against defending champions the Bulls in Pretoria next Sunday and Coastal Sharks in Bloemfontein the following weekend.
