Tiger Woods has made a promotional appearance in Pennsylvania on crutches and wearing a protective boot, but he says he'll be ready to play in next month's US Open.

Woods says he has pain in his left knee, left achilles tendon, tightening in a calf muscle and a sore lower back.

But all his doctors have said he should be fit to tee off at the third major championship of the year starting on the 17th of June.

Since limping out of The Players Championship after only nine holes earlier this month Woods has fallen out of the top 10 in the world rankings for the first time in 14 years. This week he's dropped another four places to number 12.
