There'll be no homecoming for former Hurricanes first-five-eighth Willie Ripia, with the Western Force player ruled out of the Super rugby match against his former side in Palmerston North on Friday.
Ripia, who has a calf injury, is one of several injured players missing from the Force backline including Wallaby international James O'Connor.
Although former Hurricanes prop Tim Fairbrother has been called into the squad.
