McCaw stays in New Zealand to avoid regrets

The All Blacks captain Richie McCaw says his decision to sign with the New Zealand rugby union for the next four years was based on not wanting to look back on his career with regret.

McCaw's four year deal means he and first five Dan Carter, who signed a similar contract last week, will be around for the 2015 World Cup.

McCaw says he didn't consider moving overseas as he simply enjoys playing test rugby.

He says he still feels as though he's contributing to the All Blacks and the Crusaders and didn't want to look back on his career when he's an old man and think he left too early.

McCaw says he has a sabatical in his contract similar to Dan Carter but doubts he would use to play overseas saying he's more likely to simply take a break from the game.
