NZ sevens team to face England in quarter-finals

The world series champion New Zealand sevens team will take on England in tonight's quarter-finals at the Scotland leg of the IRB world circuit after going through pool ply unbeaten.

The men in black top group A after dispatching Argentina, France and Russia with consummate ease while England qualified second in group B after being beaten by Wales.

Gordon Tietjens men were crowned world series champions last weekend during the penultimate round in London, and will be looking to put the icing on the cake of their successful season by winning the final leg in Edinburgh.

The quarter-final kicks off at 10:30pm, with the semi's and final to follow.
