The British motor racing driver Dan Wheldon earnt himself over a million dollars for his Indianapolis 500 win but now he's out of a job.
His drive the Bryan Herta Autosport team was for just one race and he's yet to learn of his exact share $17 million in prizemoney.
It was Wheldon's first race of the season as he's been unable to find a fulltime drive and he made the most of it claiming an unlikely win after rookie American JR Hildebrand crashed into the wall within sight of the finish line.
Runner-up at the Brickyard for the past two year Wheldon had been resigned to a third straight second place finish but instead was gifted a second victory as his car charged past Hildebrand's wreck.
