Willis to face quality field in Oregon

The New Zealand middle distance runner Nick Willis will line up in a quality field when he opens his northern season this weekend in Oregon.

Willis will run the world famous Bowerman Mile at the Prefontaine Classic, which is the fourth stop on the IAAF Diamond League.

The race contains 10 runners who have broken 3:50 in the mile and six of the top 10 best milers in the world last year.

Willis will also face the man he finished behind in Beiing, Asbel Kiprop of kenya.
