Huddersfield win to keep pressure on Wolves

8:30 am on 6 June 2011

The former New Zealand rugby league international David Fa'alogo put the final stamp on Huddersfield's 40-18 win over Castleford - keeping the pressure on Warrington in what is now a two-way tie at the top of the Super League.

The former South Sydney second rower scored the Giants seventh try in the closing stages but the plaudits must go to Leroy Cudjoe who started proceedings in the third minute and later added a second in the 32nd in a heavily delayed fixture.

Warrington remain at the very top of the table courtesy of a mammoth goal difference - heavily added to in their 56-16 win over Crusaders.

Elsewhere two late tries from Shaun Briscoe against former employers Hull FC ensured Hull KR won the local bragging rights following a tight 17-10 victory.

Ex-New Zealand Warriors centre Patrick Ah Van was also at the double as Bradford won 30-16 on the road against Harlequins - while contributing five goals as well.

And Stefan Ratchford scored a hat-trick as Salford City Reds saw off Wakefield 34-12 for their sixth win of the season.
