World football's embattled president Sepp Blatter has turned to opera singer Placido Domingo and others to help restore the tarnished image of the sport's governing body.

The Spanish-born tenor will form part of a "solutions committee" which also includes the former U.S. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger and the great Dutch forward Johan Cruyff.

Blatter has described their roles as advisers, a kind of council of wisdom, which he says his executive committee is not, despite what they think.
