Despite not being wanted by the franchise, Ma'a Nonu and Andrew Hore will start for the Hurricanes in their Super Rugby match against the Chiefs in Hamilton on Friday night.
Nonu will partner Alapati Leiua in the centres.
Prop Neemia Tialata will play his 100th match for the Hurricanes, joining Tana Umaga, Rodney So'oialo, Ma'a Nonu and Hore in the exclusive club.
Flanker Karl Lowe could see his first action of the season following knee surgery after being bracketed in the reserves.
The Hurricanes beat the Chiefs 29-26 earlier in the season.
