The Dallas Mavericks are on the brink of their first US basketball NBA title, after beating the Miami Heat 112-103 in game five in Dallas to go three-two up in the best of seven series.
Dirk Nowitzki scored 29 points for Dallas, while Dwyane Wade top-scored for Miami with 23.
Dallas went on a 16 to four points run to close out the game, aided by two three-pointers from Jason Terry and another by Jason Kidd.
The next game is in Miami on Monday with game seven if needed also in Miami on Wednesday.
