The Wests Tigers five eight Benji Marshall believes the Warriors will be a force to be reckoned with come finals time in the National Rugby League despite the Auckland based side giving away a 18-point lead to lose 26-22 to the Tigers at Mt Smart Stadium.

The Warriors blew the chance to climb further into the NRL's top eight with the loss the and now lie in seventh after being leapfrogged by the Tigers.

After taking an 8-4 advantage at half-time the Warriors stormed out to 22-4 lead. However Ivan Cleary's side went completely to sleep in the final 20 minutes after tackling machine Micheal Luck limped off, allowing the Tigers to run rampant before Wests winger Beau Ryan scored the match-winning try five minutes before full-time.

Marshall says despite the capitulation he's predicting the Warriors to surge deep into the playoffs.
