Manchester United have signed the teenage defender Phil Jones from Blackburn Rovers on a five-year deal.
The Premier League champions haven't mentioned the fee for 19-year-old Jones, who is currently with the England squad at the European Under-21 championship, but local media are reporting a figure of about $34 million.
Jones is the latest England Under-21 international to make a big-money move as Premier League clubs appear to be switching their focus away from expensive foreign imports towards home-grown talent.
