The All Black coach Graham Henry has spelled out some of how he and his assistants plan to end New Zealand's rugby World Cup drought and it won't include the one-game-at-a-time approach used in 2007.
He says looking ahead only as far as the next game worked in the 2006 Grand Slam but it didn't a year later and this time they'll be talking about the trophy's history.
If New Zealand's to win it for the first time since the first final in Auckland 24 years ago Henry says the All Blacks will have to improve up to 15 cent on last year, when they lost only once.
He says the coaches have preferred backups for Richie McCaw and Dan Carter at openside flanker and first-five and they'll get a chance to start during the Tri Nations.
And Henry says injured players such as McCaw, Isaia Toeava, Israel Dagg, Tony Woodcock and Colin Slade will play in the provincial championship.
