Nelson's Trafalgar Park has been confirmed as the venue if the Crusaders qualify for a super rugby home qualifier or Semi-Final.
The Crusaders are third overall and play the Hurricanes in Wellington on Saturday night .
If they finish second they'll host a semi-final on July 1 orJuly 2 and if they finish third or fourth they will host a qualifying match a week earlier.
At best they can finish second and at worst sixth.
Chief Executive Hamish Riach says while they considered some very strong offers to host matches outside their region, they want to stay as close as possible to friends, family and fans.
But Riach says if they reach the final Auckland's Eden Park is the preference, although there are many things still to work through.
Trafalgar Park's capacity has been increased to about 18,000 for the World Cup.
