Ralph set to come off the bench for Reds

The former Crusaders centurion Caleb Ralph has been named on the bench for the Queensland Reds side to take on the Chiefs in their final Super Rugby round robin match in Hamilton on Saturday night.

The 33-year-old former All Black winger, who has been playing club rugby on the Sunshine Coast, answered an SOS call by the injury-hit Reds earlier this week.

The top-of-the-table Reds have made two changes to their side with Jake Schatz starting at number eight and Dom Shipperley starting on the wing.

If he takes the field, Ralph will equal George Gregan's record of 136 Super Rugby games.
