The celebrations continue in Holywood, Northern Ireland following Rory McIlroy's astonishing win in yesterday's US Open golf championship.

McIlroy has become a hero at his home club where he starting playing golf as a toddler.

He's repaid the club by investing heavily in its facilities, and Holywood's junior membership has reached its capacity of 180.

Tourism officials are predicting a multi-million-pound boost for the industry and they're hatching a plan to bring the British Open to Northern Ireland.

22 year old McIlroy broke just about every US Open record at Congressional Country Club, and his improved four places up the world rankings to number four.

After his win yesterday, his countryman Graeme McDowell, last year's US Open champion, said McIlroy is the best golfer he's ever seen.
