The Silver Ferns defender Leana de Bruin is returning to the Waikato/Bay of Plenty Magic for next year's ANZ Championship netball season after two seasons with the Southern Steel.
De Bruin's been commuting from Cambridge to Invercargill and says her 20 months old son beginning to miss her so it'll be good to play at home again.
The 33-year-old shared the championship most valuable player award with the Queensland Firebirds' Natalie Medhurst, finishing first for defensive rebounds and equal second for intercepts.
