Webber blames himself for missing out on second

The Australian Formula One driver Mark Webber blamed himself for failing to finish second in the European Grand Prix.

The 34-year-old said he should have finished second behind the victorious German Sebastian Vettel in a Red Bull one-two.

Webber came home third behind Vettel and second-placed Spaniard Fernando Alonso of Ferrari, after deciding to pit before Alonso in the final section of the race.

The move backfired and Alonso, who was in front of Webber, managed to make his stop and open a 17-seconds gap in the end.

The Red Bull driver, however, was encouraged by his own performance claiming he's consistently getting faster and he'll come back better at the next race.
