The New Zealand women's cricket team have missed out on making the final of the Twenty20 Quadrangular Series after losing to Australia by six wickets at Taunton Vale in England.
The White Ferns captain Aimee Watkins won the toss and opted to bat with her side posting 146 for six before Australia cruised to the total with six wickets and two overs to spare.
New Zealand next take on India, who they beat during group play, in the third place playoff tonight (Monday).
