The leading French rugby club Stade Francais has been saved from bankruptcy and will be allowed to play in the French Top 14 next season.

After a hearing into the club's parlous financial state, president Max Guazzini and his successor Thomas Savare announced that all player contracts would be honoured.

Savare stepped in to help Stade Francais after a proposed takeover by a Canadian group collapsed, leading the club to file a complaint for fraud.
