New South Wales secret State of Origin training session gate crashed

Plans by New South Wales for a secret training session ahead of their State of Origin rugby league decider against Queenland have backfired with media inadvertently gate crashing the session at Ballymore, the home of the Queensland Reds Super rugby side.

The Blues, who've trained away from the media and public throughout their build-up were unware the Reds had organised a media conference at the venue, as part of their build up to Saturday night's Super rugby final against the Crusaders.

The arrival of the media sent New South Wales backroom staff into a frenzy as they frantically attempted to keep prying eyes away from the squad.

The New South Wales coach Ricky Stuart is yet to reveal the make-up of his final 17 to play the Maroons, with question marks still remaining over a number of positions.
