The captain of South Korea's Olympic football squad has been among those questioned by prosecutors investigating a widening match-fixing scandal that has rattled the professional K-League.

During questioning over the last three days, 20 year old Hong Jeong-Ho said he was offered a bribe last month but imediately rejected it, and flatly denied any wrongdoing.

So far 10 players have been banned for life from the K-league, and another player implicated in the scandal committed suicide.

K-League officials have urged players to come forward in return for lenient penalties.
