The former Black Caps opener Michael Papps will play for Wellington in the next domestic cricket season.
Papps who's 32, has spent his entire first class career with Canterbury, playing 95 first class games for the province.
He's played eight Tests and six One-Day Internationals for New Zealand, with his last appearance for the Black Caps in 2007.
