Michael Campbell has bounced back from his disappointing last weekend at the French Golf Open with a 4-under par 68 on the first day of the Scottish Open at Castle Stuart.

In a strong internatiolnal field that includes a number of top Americans honing their games for next week's British Open, Campbell is tied for 20th, three strokes from the lead held by world number two Lee Westwood and a Chilean outsider.

Danny Lee has posted a 4-over par 76 and Mark Brown is four over par after 13 holes.
