The former U.S. PGA champion David Toms has withdrawn from next week's British Open at Royal St George's in England.
Tom's was forced to withdraw from this morning's opening round of the John Deere Classic in Illinois because of a hip injury.
His place in next week's Open championship goes to England's Simon Dyson.
