Cronulla's rugby league revival has continued with a fourth straight NRL victory, while the Storm extended the Bulldogs' misery with a 28-18 triumph at Adelaide Oval.

The Sharks' 26-12 defeat of Canberra virtually ends the Raiders' hopes of making the finals at Toyota Stadium.

The Sharks disposed of an error-riddled Raiders with a five tries to two victory that will leave them on the edge of the top eight and well in the battle for a play-off spot as the regular season enters its final eight weeks.

In-form half Wade Graham, Colin Best, Jason Bukuya, Taulima Tautai and Ben Pomeroy scored tries for the home side with Chad Townsend booting three from five in front of 10,303 fans.

In Adelaide, the gifted Melbourne halfback Cooper Cronk bagged two tries as the ladder leaders scored five tries to three, dominating the butter-fingered Bulldogs whose slide from finals contention continued with a seventh loss in nine matches.

The Storm stretched their winning streak to six in a row with a comprehensive victory in the Bulldogs' nominal home game attended by 9963 spectators in the South Australian capital.
