North Harbour's Steven Edwards secured a last minute 5-4 win for the New Zealand men's hockey team over the Great Britain Unicorns in a practice match in London.

The Black Sticks also scored goals through Simon Child, Nick Wilson, vice captain Shea McAleese and Hugo Inglis against a team of young and upcoming British players at the University of Westminster sports ground in Chiswick.

Missing penalty corner striker Andy Hayward through illness and resting goalkeeper Stephen Graham, the Black Sticks used the practice match as an opportunity to test match structures and combinations for the upcoming London Cup, a four nations tournament also involving England, Korea and Belgium.
