US still alive in Davis Cup

The world number one doubles team of Bob and Mike Bryan kept the United States in the Davis Cup hunt with a 4 set victory over Spain's Marcel Granollers and Fernando Verdasco in their quarter-final tie in Texas.

The brothers lifted the Americans within 2-1 in the best-of-five men's team tennis tie against the Spaniards, who seek their third title in four years and can still advance by winning one of two reverse singles matches tomorrow.

In other quarter-final action in the World group.... holders Serbia lead Sweden 2-1, France beat Germany 3-nil and Argentina beat Kazakhstan 5-nil.
