Dogs lose playmaker in Warriors loss

1:33 pm on 16 July 2011

Things seem to be going from bad to worse for troubled National Rugby League club the Bulldogs.

In a week that's seen coach Kevin Moore stand aside, the Bulldogs have now lost five-eighth Kris Keating for up to a month after he sustained an injury in their demoralising 36-12 loss to the Warriors in Auckland on Friday night.

The former Eels player suffered a grade-two medial ligament elbow injury, with medical staff confirming he would be in a sling for at least two to three weeks and could miss the next four matches.

Thankfully for the Bulldogs, they have a ready-made replacement in Eels-bound playmaker Ben Roberts, who laid on the Dogs' two and only tries as they capitulated after holding an early 12-0 lead.
