Black Sticks beat Belgium

6:53 pm on 14 July 2011

The New Zealand men's hockey team has made it 2 from 2 at the 4-Nation tournament in London with a last minute 3-2 victory over Belgium.

The Black Sticks conceded a goal early before Steven Jenness and Matt L'Huillier put them ahead at the break, however the Belgians equalised when the New Zealanders were a player down and it took a field goal from Nick Wilson in the final minute to seal the game.

The Black Sticks now top the standings with 2 wins but aren't assured of a place in the final yet with hosts England playing South Korea later this morning.

New Zealand's last round-robin match is against England on Saturday morning.
