The Auckland golfer Michael Hendry tied for second as the defending champion at the Indonesian Open in Jakarta.
Hendry finished in a 3-way tie for second, one stroke behind Thailand's Thaworn Wirachant after a gripping finish.
Playing alongside the winner in the final group, Hendry came up just short of forcing a playoff with his 35-foot birdie attempt on the last hole.
